United Arab Emirates, November 17th 2016 – CSC (NYSE: CSC) today announced that Ain Al Khaleej Hospital (AAKH), a CSC client using the Enterprise Management Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, has achieved Stage 6 HIMSS Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model (EMRAM) certification.
Developed by HIMSS Analytics, EMRAM is an eight-stage maturity model that allows hospitals to track their progress towards a paperless environment and complete EMRs.
Using CSC’s Enterprise Management EPR (Electronic Patient Record), Ain Al Khaleej Hospital successfully achieved the Stage 6 certification by deploying advanced capabilities including:
Computerized physician order entry (CPOE);
Closed loop medication administration – “five rights;”
Structured clinical documentation;
Clinical decision support system;
Online automated filmless radiology related processes;
Intelligent pharmacy inventory and dispensing management; and
Barcoding process for pharmacy items, medication and patient identification.
